“Ironic” – special version by class 7c
Wer kennt sie nicht, die typischen Ironien des Schicksals? Beim Vergleich von Alanis Morissettes Hit “Ironic” aus dem Jahr 1995 mit den Textupdates von 2015 kam die Klasse 7c in einer Intensivierungsstunde Englisch auf die Idee, zu diesem Lied eine eigene Version zu texten.
Mehrere selbst gedichtete Strophen beschreiben nun ironische Situationen aus der Sicht und dem Lebensbereich von Siebtklässlern: z. B. hungrig in der Mensaschlange zu stehen und bemerken, dass man gar kein Geld dabei hat; viel lernen zu müssen, während andere die guten Noten nur so aus dem Ärmel schütteln; in der morgendlichen Eile nur einen Schuh zu finden; ein T-Shirt zu kaufen und sich am Tag darauf zu ärgern, dass der Preis um die Hälfte reduziert worden ist oder mit dem lang ersehnten nagelneuen Smartphone im Funkloch zu sitzen.
Begleitet von Frau Gollmitzers Gitarre wurde das Lied als mp3 aufgenommen. Wer es selbst einmal singen oder als Vorlage für eigene Kreationen nutzen möchte, findet den Text hier abgedruckt.

For your favourite band you made a long way.
Then you realize it’s been cancelled today…

You win a new car, expensive and shining red –
a Ferrari, yeah! But there’s one thing you forget:
You are only twelve, you can’t drive it yet…
And who would have thought it figures…?
You learn a long time for a difficult test,
no time to relax, no time for a rest.
Your friend did nothing, but his marks are best…
